There are many campus resources for students, faculty and staff that provide support that allows individuals to explore all their options for getting help.


STUDENTS

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS provides free and confidential services for currently enrolled U-M undergraduate and graduate/professional students.

Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS)

The University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for all U-M students, faculty and staff, with an emphasis on community outreach, prevention and education.

Office of Student Conflict Resolution

OSCR provides a variety of programs and services designed to support a safe, just and peaceful community, and to help Michigan students learn how to manage and resolve conflict peacefully.

Reporting a Campus Climate Concern

Anyone who feels they have been affected by a campus climate concern related to students is encouraged to make a report to Campus Climate Support (CCS) utilizing this form.

Sexual and Gender-based Misconduct Reporting

All members of the U-M community are encouraged to report sexual and gender-based misconduct to the university, to the police or both. For more information, visit sexualmisconduct.umich.edu.

FACULTY & STAFF

Equity, Civil Rights and Title IX (ECRT)

ECRT’s function is to offer prevention and education programs and resources to ensure university policies or procedures regarding all forms of discrimination or discriminatory harassment, including sexual and gender-based misconduct, have been followed. ECRT investigates complaints and reports of discrimination, and works to arrive at an appropriate and equitable resolution. Consultations are private, but not confidential.

Faculty and Staff Counseling and Consultation Office (FASCCO)

FASCCO provides free, confidential support and assistance to university faculty and staff in resolving personal or work-related concerns.

Faculty Ombudsperson

The university’s faculty ombuds office provides free and confidential conflict management services for faculty at U-M.

Michigan Medicine Office of Counseling & Workplace Resilience

The Office of Counseling and Workplace Resilience is an assessment, referral, consultation and short-term counseling service. All services are confidential, and available at no charge to all Michigan Medicine faculty, staff and their immediate families.
